The admission process for IIFT Consists of the following rounds:- 

Round 1: IIFT Exam
Round 2: Essay Writing, Extempore and Personal Interview

Shortlisting:

• Maximum weightage of 73% goes to IIFT exam score
• Excellent performances in Class 10 (10% Weightage) & 12 gets (10% Weightage)
• Academic Diversity (5% Weightage) & Gender diversity (2% Weightage)

Final Selection:

• IIFT Score Weightage: 45%
• Performance in GD-PI-WAT: 40%
• Academic & Gender Diversity: 4%
• Academic Consistency: 8%
• Work Experience: 3%

Total Seats and New Campus

IIFT also proposes to launch its third campus at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh for the session 2021-22 with an aim to cater to the southern states as well.

During the past few years, IIFT has been increasing its batch size. Since 2017, IIFT MBA (IB) Batch size has increased from 280 to 400+ students in 2020 at its Delhi and Kolkata campuses combined. Last year IIFT selected a total of 749 students for MBA (IB) admission at Delhi and Kolkata campuses out of which few opted for other prestigious institutes.
