IIM Indore IPM – (Reasons to aim for IIM Indore)
IPM (Integrated Programme in Management) is a five-year program at IIM Indore which was launched in 2011. IPM has been accredited by the Association of MBAs, London (4th and 5th Year). It is the first program of its kind which attracts students to with managerial and leadership skills to become world-class leaders.
Who can give IPM?
Students who have passed out of class XII/ Higher Secondary or equivalent from recognized schools across India. IIM Indore gives admissions to 120 students for the IPM program. Students have to fill an application form containing their academic performance and co-curricular activities. The application form is followed by an entrance test which checks the student’s aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English language. Students who pass this exam are then shortlisted for interviews where they are selected on the basis of their communication skills, confidence, general knowledge and personality.

Why is IPM a good option?
The program is structured in such a way that the first three years are of UG and then next two years of PG. It aims to produce socially-conscious managers and leaders with the foundation of world class education from one of the most recognized B-School of the country. The most fascinating part of this program is that the student doesn’t have to give CAT (entrance for MBA) to get into IIM Indore. By giving IPM the student automatically reserves a seat for himself for MBA.

What is the structure of IPM?
The entire program consists of 15 semesters for 5 years i.e 3 semesters, 3 months each, for each year. The first three years focus on building the foundation and the last two years focus on management.
After three years of studying foundational subjects, the IPM students train as managers along with the students doing the two-year Post Graduate Program in Management in the institute through CAT.
IPM students have to complete a social internship at the end of three years and then a business summer-internship at the end of the fourth year.
After the completion of the five-year IPM program the students are awarded the Integrated Diploma in Management by IIM Indore.
Placements of IPM students at IIM Indore
The placement report of IIM Indore for the 2016 batch consisted of 162 recruiters of which 53 were first time recruiters. Placements from these recruiters were offered to 617 students, the largest across all IIMs. 106 students from the first batch of the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) bagged placement offers from well-known recruiters like Deloitte, JP Morgan, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, Credit Suisse, Nomura, IBM, Tata Sky etc. A good feedback had come from the recruiters in the first placement of IPM. The average package offered to the IPM students was INR 15.67 LPA. The highest domestic package was INR 32 LPA and highest international package was INR 30 LPA.
