NMAT Exam Details

NMAT by GMAC exam is a 120-minute test

It has three Sections:

• Language Skills
• Quantitative Skills

Exam Features:

• Test takers can choose the order of sections.
  
  
• Each of the three sections is individually timed. Test takers need to answer and review the questions of a particular section within the allotted section time.
  
  
• If a test taker completes answering and reviewing a section before the allotted section time expires, he/she may choose either to revise the section or move to the next section, but the balance time cannot be added on to the next section timing.

The test taker needs to bring the following to the test center on the day of the test, without which the test taker will not be allowed to take the test:

• Confirmation email (can be shown on the mobile device or taken as a printout.)
  
  
• Admit Card: Candidates are required to download their NMAT by GMAC™ Admit Card from their NMAT by GMAC account.
  
  
• One photocopy of the Photo ID for submission at the test center.

NMAT is a time-management based exam as you get 108 questions to solve in 120 minutes. So first, identify your strong and weak areas in all three sections. Logical Reasoning:

• This section contains 36 questions of Verbal as well as Analytical Reasoning, which has to be solved within 40 minutes, which means approximately one minute for every question.
  
  
• Since it is a time-based examination, students need to identify the question that has to be attempted or left.
  
  
• The rigorous practice is required to get a hand of reasoning, as it cannot be achieved overnight.

Language Skills

• This section contains questions of RC, Grammar, and Vocabulary that have to be attempted within 28 minutes, which means 40 seconds per question.
